Our Infusion Center
INFUSION CENTER NOW OFFERS INFUSIONS FOR GI PATIENTS ON STELARA OR REMICADE

Our Infusion Center at Greater Rochester Neurology offers a wide array of subcutaneous injections and infusion therapies.  We have an open area with a selection of chairs that while being infused offers coffee, water, magazines, free WI-FI, and a flat screen TV.  We also have two smaller area's available that we use for patients who want more privacy, and also for patients receiving Migraine Infusions.

We are currently staffed with two fulltime Registered Nurses and one part-time Registered Nurse who specialize in Migraines and Multiple Sclerosis, as well as two Medical Assistants.

MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS  INFUSION MEDICATIONS

An individual may receive outpatient intravenous medications such as Solu-Medrol, IVIG, Tysabri, Ocrevus or Lemtrada in the infusion center to name a few.  The Provider will determine the medication,dose, and frequency of the medications for you.

Ocrevus:  This medication launched in March 2017 as one of the first medications approved to treat Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.  It is also approved for individuals with Relapsing forms of Multiple Sclerosis.  Ocrevus is an infusion that is given every 6 months over approximately 2-4 hours.

Lemtrada:  This medication indicated for the treatment of patients with relapsing forms of Multiple Sclerosis.  It is infused once per year for two years with monthly lab monitoring due to its safety profile.

SUPPORT GROUP CURRENTLY ON HOLD DUE TO COVID -19

This is a monthly support group for our MS patients that we offer right here at our facility.  Each month we cover an new educational topic and have special guest speakers join us from time to time. It is a great opportunity to meet and greet with other individuals living with MS.  This group meets at 6:00 pm on the last Wednesday of every month in the infusion suite at our office.  It is hosted by  Wendy, our Medical Assistant as well as our nurses, Sarah, RN, Christopher, RN, and Sandy, RN.  For more information and/or to RSVP you can call either Christopher, Wendy or Sarah at 585-546-3265  Ext:  724, 727  or 736.  Snacks and beverages are provided.
